On June 29, 2011, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded a new
"WVDP Phase 1 Decommissioning - Facilities Disposition" contract to CH2M HILL B&W West Valley, LLC
(CHBWV). CHBWV is a limited liability company comprised of CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc., Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group, Inc., (B&W) and Environmental Chemical Corporation (EEC). CHBWV will provide project management and support services; site operations, maintenance, and utilities; high-level waste canister relocation; facility disposition; waste tank farm management; NRC-licensed disposal area management; waste management and nuclear materials disposition; and safeguards and security under a cost-plus award fee contract. The estimated value of the Contract is approximately $331 million with a period of performance through June 30, 2017. CHBWV anticipates awarding approximately $138.4 million in subcontracts during the Contract period.
